Of all the cities in the country, Abu chose to open his new Kwik-E-Mart in our neck of the woods. Of course, we had to go and get some Duff beer and Buz soda. It was awesome.
We spent the weekend with Er Buo Buo and Auntie Min this past weekend at a private resort called Cordeval. The accomodations were outstanding as we lounged, swam and ate great food. Eli spent more time in the pool than on land and actually made a lot of progress in learning how to swim. Lots of fun.
As summer approaches, we've been enjoying the outdoors as much as possible. Eli got to hang with his bud, Otto, at Golden Gate Park. Meanwhile, Ella continues to grow into her sweet and wacky personality.
The last month has been filled with wonderful visits from friends and family. Uncle James came to meet Eli and Ella for the first time. He was a big hit with his "Little Einstein" DVDs for Eli and his wine for Mom and Dad. Eli and Ella also got to meet their cousin Noah for the first time. Ella and Noah were like 2 peas in a pod.
She's four months old and doing quite well. Ella had her 4 mth check-up today and she's in the 90th percentile for weight and height. What a blessing. We were a little anxious given her absolute boycott of bottles to date and her frequent spit-ups, but apparently, she's what the doctor calls a "barracuda" -- meaning that she eats very efficiently and quickly. Brother Eli is taking good care of Ella and makes her laugh everyday.
We had some outstanding family time this past weekend in Irvine to celebrate two special birthdays -- the 85th birthday of Ama and the 60th birthday of George of the Jungle. Eli and Ella got to hang out with all of their uncles, aunts, and cousins. If only we could do family reunions on a regular basis!
It's hard to believe, but little Ella is 2 months old. Eli is a good big brother, but sometimes overwhelms his little sister with love. She is starting to track with her eyes and make all sorts of different sounds. We cannot wait for her to meet her new cousin Noah!
